Bridges
This page provides an index to the bridges along the canal. It also includes aqueducts. Some bridges have pages devoted to them - they are highlighted as links. Note that many bridges have had more than one name over the years; these are divided by a '/'. Bridges were usually named after the adjacent land owner or tenant. The changing names may reflect a change in ownership or tenancy. All the swivel bridges are named as such, however, all but three now exist only as narrows with no bridge deck. The three operational swivel bridges (47, 49, 90) are marked as such. # indicates that there is no trace of the bridge remaining.
